Bluegold Blueberry

Self-pollinating. An outstanding midseason variety of blueberry with exceptionally firm, flavorful and uniform sized berries. Small recessed scar. Because Bluegold has a surprising high production and a heavy fruiting habit of truly superior fruit, commercial growers sometimes refer to it as the “mortgage lifter”. In storage, Bluegold has maintained good quality for up to five weeks! Cold hardy Bluegold is a compact, round bush up to 4′ that also makes it perfect for landscaping.

Fall foliage and winter wood are golden yellow, followed by bright-white blooms in spring. 1 1/2 to 2′ plants. Zones 4-7

“No Bog” North American Cranberry

Miller’s Thunderlake cranberry is destined to be the plant introduction of the decade! Forget about cranberries grown in a bog. Imagine a beautiful, solid carpet of greenleaved plants in your garden, each spreading 3 to 4 ft. wide, and no more than 12 inches high.

Each spring, fuchsia-pink flowers cover the foliage. These mature into bright red, juicy cranberries you pick by the handsful September to October – up to 2 pounds per plant! Vigorous grower is almost carefree.

Our Thunderlake thrives in blueberry-type soils, from heavy to sandy. Winterhardy from Newfoundland to the Carolinas. Thunderlake even grows well in a hanging basket for a striking effect. Almost every nursery sells strawberry plants. It’s natural that some sell one varietyover another. And some sell better quality plants than others.

We tell you this because Miller’s Ozark Beauty strawberries can be considered the best of the everbearers — especially where late Springs matter. Miller’s Ozark Beauties yield abundant crops from Spring ‘til snow flies. Our Ozarks yield tastier, deep red, firm berries “just right” in sweetness. You savor that rich, satisfying strawberry flavor fresh or frozen. So productive that more than 200 blossom, buds, and berries have been counted on a single plant!

If you compared a handful of Miller’s Ozark plants to a handful of another’s plants, you could see why our plants yield superior crops and higher quality fruits. A bundle of, say, 50 Miller plants usually measure half-again bigger in size than a bundle of 50 found elsewhere.

After your June crops, large delicious berries usually ripen from late July to mid- August (depends on climate). Berry production continues until frost. We suggest holding runners to 2 or 3; fewer runners mean larger berries. Total yield will be bigger, too. A prominent grower tells us he has found Ozark Beauty to be the best berry he has grown in more than 30 years of production. Grows well from Maine to Missouri. Plant some this spring.
